Join us for the 2012 Green U Home and Health Initiative,
Saturday, August 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m at the
Green U is a one day Family-Friendly Festival for the Environment!
Join us to hear guest speakers teach us how our community can become more ecologically friendly. Regional businesses specializing in “green” products and services will be on hand to educate and demonstrate their offerings. Participate in a variety of workshop and hands-on events to teach you how to "be green." Local schools will also be involved with projects, stories, games, contests and demonstrations. Admission is $5 or 5 of the following recyclables:
- Cell phones
- Aluminum cans
- Plastic bottles (with lids separated)
- Glass bottles
- Terracycle Products (will be recycled by Nexus Energy)
- Dry cell household batteries
- Used toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes.
- Used MP3 player
- Drink pouches
- Old pairs of shoes
